Wild Eggs

by Bonnie E. » Sat Sep 05, 2009 5:27 pm

Does anyone know if either location of Wild Eggs will take a reservation? They are already closed for the day so I can't call them. Either Sunday or Monday Thanks.

My daughter used to work at the one in Westport Village, and according to her, they don't take reservations. Just go early.

I think they take reservations for large groups only.

The only good thing is the turnover is pretty fast so even if there are a lot of people waiting you still get seated pretty quickly. Occasionally someone will be a jerk and camp out doing business at a table but it happens a lot less often there than at many other restaurants.

I highly doubt you'll ever see them take reservations because that would mean they would end up leaving some tables empty at times this is something they don't have now. It's also not the kind of place you would expect to take reservations.

Well we went anyway, waited forever and it was great! Went to Westport location so the pager thingy works within the shops area. I certainly understand not taking reservations when you don't have to! (I'm just impatient!) Called Toast they had an 80 minute wait and would take our name, as in call ahead seating. Both Eggs were 45-60 minutes but don't take names. Good stuff, waaaay lots of it! Thanks for your answers.

Glad you liked it. It's a great place.

FWIW, I've always found call-ahead seating to be more complicated (and less efficient for all involved) than the old traditional "sign the list and wait" approach. Makes time for conversation before the meal!

I've been meaning to make a Wild Eggs thread, went there for the first time last month and fell in love. I;ve been once a week since then and haven't had a dish I didn't like. And the OJ is outstanding.

You are selling the OJ short!
