Louisville Restaurant Week: September 29-October 3

by Stacy Roof » Fri Sep 04, 2009 2:15 pm

As an encouragement to dine out, KRA is sponsoring Louisville Restaurant Week, kicking off at the Taste of Louisville (thetasteoflouisville.com) on September 29.

Restaurants - please e-mail me (stacy@kyra.org) or call me (931-5420) to be added to our list of participants, and include what you might be offering, be it a prix fixe menu or special/added value. We'll place on a website for the event and include in advertising. We'll have artwork for your use to promote internally.

Foodies - please encourage your favorite restaurants to participate. KRA member or non-member, all are welcome. Please dine out liberally that week!

Please let me know any questions you may have.

i would love more information about taste of louisville. such as ticket prices, where to purchase them, time and location of the event. i have always wanted to attend this, and this year, it's time to get serious and actually go rather than just talk about going. thanks.

I put vegetables in your desserts, white chocolate with your fish and other nonsense stuff that you think shouldn't make sense, but coax the nonsense into something that makes complete sense in your mouth. Just open your mind, mouth and eat.

Thanks Ethan! Jessie, if you have questions or need help please call me at the number above, or let me know here. The main Taste charity is United Way with funds earmarked for the Salvation Army Center of Hope Culinary Training Program, Chef Timothy Tucker's excellent program. It's the original Taste!

Tickets $55 each

Yes, there are 40-50 restaurants and beverage companies who provide samples - as many as you like - for the ticket price of $55. Each restaurant picks a couple of items to feature, usually something from their menu that they can do smaller tastes of - Turkey Joe's is providing spinach blue cheese dip & peanut butter pie (I remember theirs because I saw their forms Friday). There's a large silent auction also, there will be a photo booth too. Fun evening, great charity partner.

Jessie,
The Taste of Louisville is like a big cocktail party with heavy appetizers. Food and cocktails galore, I don't know anyone that has ever gone and was disappointed.
