We celebrated our 5 year anniversary tonight at L&N. I haven't been there for about 6 years and Doug has never been there. It was a wonderful meal. Our server was Ricky and he was exceptional--very friendly and paid attention to our comments to meet our needs. I was a little disappointed that they no longer had the roasted garlic and tomato soup, but the cheese fondue was delicious. It came with Blue Dog bread, apples, tortilla chips, and sausage for dipping. Ricki offered to bring extra bread instead of apples when he heard me mention that apples and cheese didn't sound good together. Doug ordered the shrimp and grits and he said that he's never had better. His reigning favorite was Jack Fry's, but he said that the Kenny's cheese and creaminess took these to a whole other level. I ordered the sirloin with a worcestershire demi glaze, pomme frites, and aspargus. I usually prefer a filet, but this sirloin was really tender and the demi glaze had a cinnamon or all spice taste to it which just made it even better. Now, my favorite part--the chocolate fondue. Yum! This was a lovely evening and we'll be sure to make it back sooner rather than later.
