Introduction of a new foodie

by Bill Veneman » Fri Aug 21, 2009 4:53 pm

I have a friend/roomate (Alan Carrek) who is very interest in LHB and all the fun we have on the Forum. He apprenticed as chef in his teens and kept up with it thru his college years. He was executive chef at a small place in the Jacksonville Fl area as well as one in Essex New York, which he pulled a Gordon Ramsey turn around on. He's an excellent chef in my opinion. He's been feeding me VERY well in my recent recovery.

He's multi-talented as an pipe organ builder, organist and choral conductor, and "restauranteur". His flair for for the classics in the kitchen (as he says "anything containing butter").

We're working on getting him set up on LHB so look out for him. As soon as Robin and I get thru a little glitch I'm having, we'll get him set up.
If life's a Banquet, what's with all the Tofu?

Cheers!

Welcome, Alan!

Bill, what glitch? You got my post about logging out, right? Don't forget that Alan must follow our "real name, real-world format" for his user name. He needs to sign on as either Alan Carrek (strongly preferred) or Alan C (acceptable if he's shy). Any other form of username will not activate.

I'll keep an eye out for him, though, and as soon as I see his registration will activate it.

Okay, Bill, he's in! He should get a notification at his Email address soon, but in any case, he can go ahead and log in with the information you sent me. (I meant to send it by PRIVATE Email, by the way - I deleted it quickly to keep his password and Email out of sight.)
