Not yet - They called and told me it would be in, but to keep checking. I know the Publisher Shea, so I might give him a call to find out when. Once it appears i will let you know.

For future reference, Kurt, the forum's interest doesn't stop at the county line. Charlestown is well within our region of interest, as are Sellersburg, LaGrange, Shelbyville, you name it. We're pretty flexible about stuff like this, but certainly anything within the broad metropolitan area/Louisville TV market fits.

Thanks Robin - Usually I would report on anywhere with in 100 mile radius of Louisville, but it is Pizza Hut! Shawn was right, the rant was worth posting and I am thankful to have gotten the word out. No one should treat people the way the soccer team was treated. I talked with several of the players last night and they appreciate that I stuck up for them. It was the right thing to do and I am pretty sure most of the foodies on this forum would have done the same. The players expected mediocre food and service and a business that fails to live up to that standard shouldn't be in business.
I am happy to report at 8pm last night after the soccer game Pizza Hut had 1 car in their parking lot.

On the bright side, now those kids know what a really good pizza tastes like.

Hopefully, it was just the rude manager's car!

I cannot believe that they turned you all away. As the owner of A.J.'s Gyros To Go, and our new venture A.J.'s Gyro Cafe, I would have welcomed you with welcome arms. Too weird. As someone said, it is not their business so they don't care.

Greetings, Alison ... I had no idea you'd opened a second location. I grew up in Georgetown and my mom still lives there. You're a must before/after visits, and the missus and I have patronized and recommended AJ's for a while now.

Anyway, good luck. Hope the third location is downtown in New Albany.

Roger, Thanks, Well, we are still thinking about Corydon for our third, but I would like to consider downtown New Albany as well, it is really starting to look Cosmopolitan down there with all the new businesses. Stopped by your place on our wedding anniversary back in June , I like the place.

That's great news. FWIW, we'll be going to the "Hosta Place" in Georgetown tomorrow and will stop by for a gyro and tenderloin.

A Hutt is nothing but trouble. Whether its Jabba, Borja, or Pizza, you should probably stay away from them. After all, they might just try to freeze you in carbonite! :D

My Rant appeared in The Evening News today. I was not able to name Pizza Hut directly and have it published.

I guess writing a rebuttal letter asking if you went to the Pizza Hut in Charlestown would probably not get printed....

Probably not. My original letter was very specific at first they called and said it would be in, then called back and said they couldn't publish it because it would open a world of complaints about bad service. I don't really see what is wrong with that, but I wanted it published. I called and traded emails with Shea Vanhoy the Editor and this is what I finally came up with.
People from Charlestown will know that it was Pizza Hut, but if you aren't from Charlestown it could have been any National chain. I am thankful it got printed and hope the positive will help the CPC. Shea did ask if I was willing to be interviewed, they may do an indepth article on the incident.
