PR Westport General Store new menu

Hello Forum.

We are pleased to announce a new menu at Westport General Store. Chef Rafael Hernandez has come up with some great new items. One of which is a Cuban sandwich-Mustard and garlic marinated grilled chicken breast topped with Finchville Country Ham, swiss cheese, dijon mustard and pickles. Served with sweet potato fries.
For the vegetarians we have added a Portabella Mushroom Burger-Grilled portabella marinated in a mustard, balsamic vinaigrette and garnished with lettuce, tomatoes and onions. Served with sweet potato fries.

Inspired by my friend and rib champion Shane Best, we have added a smoke house section to the menu. Brisket, Spare Ribs, Half Chicken and Salmon are all on the menu. We also have some great new appetizers like Fish Tacos and Calamari.
This weekend we have two specials:
Guava and sweet chili glazed chicken wings

Bluegrass Brewing Company braised pork shank stew over rice.

sounds like an offer I can't refuse. Also seems like a different twist on the fish taco.

I believe i have put just about anything and everything inside of a tortilla, except fish. I can't bring myself to taste them. Where i am from fish tacos are not the specialty, i guess that is part of it. I told my husband about them and he also didnt like the sound of it, and he LOVES fish.

The first fish taco is a leap of faith. After that its yummy all the way. Just think of it as a fish sandwich - in a tortilla. You like fish sandwiches, right?

Love fish sandwiches. Funny thing is, that is what i tell my daughters about putting stuff in tortillas, "it's like a sandwich, but with a tortilla." I am going to have to try them out....just a couple for my husband and I. Is the fish fried?

The fish is fried in our version. We think it gives it a nice crunch.

You know, I was leary of fish tacos for a long, long time. In fact, I JUST tried them about five months ago. We have a burrito place here in Etown (won't name it because I think the burritos are horribly tasteless though the fish tacos, mango salsa, and cheese dip/chip plate are all very good) that serves them.
Fresh fried fish, crunchy purple cabbage, and a gauc-type sauce. I put a bit of mango salsa on mine also, but I put the mango salsa on anything. I loved them!
We went to Indianapolis with the kiddos about a month ago. On the way home, we stopped at Cheeseburger in Paradise (hey! We had 3 kiddos under 8 with us! They definitely can eat off of that menu). I ordered the fish tacos. YUMMY!!!!!
