Simple Grr Things

by John NA » Tue May 22, 2007 3:13 pm

Today I went to lunch at a place that specializes in breakfast and lunch. I figured that I'd have a sandwich and a cup of soup. Nothing unusual. The sandwich was good, but they ran out of soup. This was at 12:15PM and the place was only half full. If I was in there at 2pm and they had run out of soup I'd have understood, But 12:15? Grr.

Not long ago I was with a friend at another place. He ordered a cheese steak sandwich which was good. He asked for A1 Sauce. They ran out.

My all-timer was at a place in Ohio for breakfast and they only had rye bread for toast as they had run out of bread at 8:30AM.

I'm pretty laid back about most things but it drives me crazy when restaurants fail at dumb, little things. Running out of soup at 12:15PM is unpardonable. It really is.

I'm just ranting. I'm sure we all have our stories and our rants!

I was debating about naming names.

The 'toast' place in Ohio was 4 hours away and long gone. I don't want to mention the chain because I happen to like the chain (around here) and they do employ one of my daughters. The establishments in this region haven't made that kind of error.

No soup was "A Nice Restaurant," which I just raved about for breakfast. I guess I'll have to keep raving about breakfast and forget lunch!

The no A1 was Beef and Bourbon's which I do like a lot. It just seemed like a dumb error.
