Welcome to the Louisville Restaurants Forum, a civil place for the intelligent discussion of the local restaurant scene and just about any other topic related to food and drink in and around Louisville.
A bunch of my football pals are gathing for our annual fantasy football draft at the end of the month. My job is to bring hot wings for 10 hungry guys. My question is who the forum believes has the best hot wings in town. I'd appreciate any and all comments.

I like BWW's Jerk, Habenaro Mango and Spicy Garlic sauces. Heck, for that many guys I would just buy some Wing Ding's at GFS, bust out the turkey fryer and cook em' up myself.
6 weeks ago I would have said Turkey Joe's...Now I'm not so sure. I hate to dis a local but the last THREE times I've been there they've managed to screw up our order...and no the place was never slammed when we went there. Chuck is a great guy but the service has been very much on the shaky side lately. We'll go back but it's gonna be a while.
Funny you say that Steve, because consistency has ALWAYS been my problem with Turkey Joe's. It is the kind of place you want to support and Chuck is a great guy. I've had burgers and wings there that could definitely vie for the best in the city and on different days not so much. I wish they could do it consistently because when it's good, it's VERY good.
Went to TJs once, just like you two I had an incorrect order. It was fixed mind you, but they weren't busy...and I'm sorry but the dried out fried turkey was a disappointment. The fries were good, so were most of the wings flavors I ordered, but BW3 in Clarksville still earns our wing $ (usually).
Here's a piece that Kevin Gibson and I did as a team effort with short reviews of about nine good local wings spots. It's about two years old and there have been some changes. Taste of Jamaica is gone and Wings 'n' Things has been replaced by Turkey Joe's (which I've also found inconsistent). But this might provide some ideas:
Wonton Express on the corner of Hikes and Klondike. For 5 dollars you can get 10 of the biggest chicken wings you'll ever see. They're battered, fried, and seasoned with dried red pepper flakes (if you want hot).
