Restaurants with flood issues?

by John LaFollette » Tue Aug 04, 2009 11:27 am

Does anyone know of any restaurants that are experiencing problems related to today's rain?

My folks have got water in their basement; what a nightmare! Hope everyone else is staying dry.

Thankfully it appears the worst of it has passed us by. Indianapolis on the other hand is in for quite a storm.

As of 12:30 p.m., we're up and running at both NABC locations. Skeleton crew at Grant Line, bit of water leakage at Bank ... but open just the same. In New Albany, the people in the Castlewood area off Grant Line probably will be the hardest hit. Things seem manageable in downtown NA.

I haven't had reports on specific issues, but in general, Frankfort Avenue (and St. Matthews) and Bardstown Road are on high ground. We've had no problems except a lot of exciting noise and light and hard rain in Crescent Hill, and when we walked up to Heine Bros. during a midday break in the weather, all the shops in the vicinity appeared to be open and operating normally. I did see a TV video of deep water on lower Brownsboro, which concerned me about Thai Taste and its neighbors ...

Westport General Store is up and running with a great band tonight. Gayle Lynn and the Hired Hands. They hail from San Francisco and play alt country.

Come on out.

Thanks

The bare minimum of a crew (staff) to operate.

"Emaciated" is unacceptable so long as we still have beer ... 'cuz beer is food.

I saw photos on the news showing significant flooding at Famous Dave's on Veterans Parkway in Clarksville.
