We sat at the ell shape sushi bar that was installed in the main center dining room (if anyone is familiar with the layout of the old Lanai). Plenty of seating everywhere, the sushi bar seats about 20 with additional tabletops in the same dining room and there's a giant plasma TV screen behind the sushi bar that had some AMC movie on it. The front "porch" area has 4 grille tables for the performance style dining experience.
O yeah, the food--well it was great. The menu is the same menu you will find in any of the other local Japanese restaurants that I've been to. All the usual sushi items with comparible prices, grille table dinners consisting of chicken, shrimp, lobster and filet mignon ranging from $12.95 to over $27.00. They also had a dozen or so Korean selections that I cannot ever attempt to list here but would like to try on a return trip.
The sushi chef, an underfed Japanese gentleman, directed us to the freshest offering which was tuna. He knew what he was talking about. In addition to the tuna we did the normal sushi bar things--yellowtail, unagi handrolls, caterpillar roll, california roll, seaweed salad and pot stickers. All very good, fresh and tasty.
We had an Italian pinot gris that the missus picked out from what looked to be a nice winelist with fair markups.
I must confess the fact that I don't have that photographic memory that our esteamed leader Robin possesses. While I read the menu and the winelist I can't quote appetizer selections, wine choices and prices, the different soups they offer and other details. I'm just a diner and not a highly trained professional.
Just let it be said that if you are in the neighborhood it wouldn't be a mistake to stop in and give it a try--but--don't waste too must time in doing it or you might lose your chance if you know what I mean

O, $91.00 including the $23.00 bottle and tip.
Good Luck
