New Restaurant in J-town

Bruce's Smokehouse is set to open in early August on the corner of Watterson Trail and Billtown Rd. in the heart of Jeffersontown. This location is where Churchill's English Pub used to be. From the banner hanging off the front, Bruce claims to be "formerly Fire Fresh BBQ". Maybe someone can make this great location work....

I'm interested in seeing how this one turns out. Hopefully, not another notch on the property's bedpost.

I tried Bruce's Smokehouse out today for lucnh and it was pretty good. I not going to go into a lengthy review because this place is the same as any Firehouse/Firefresh BBQ in town. There is a Robin Garr review of Firefresh hanging on the wall. I don't understand the name change, but still having a connection with "the old" bbq place.
