Jade Palace... still good?

When I was younger I remember going there for DimSum on weekends with a friend and his family, I used to love it. The last time I went was probably 3-4 years ago, we went for dinner and they served DimSum at night time which they never used to do. Needless to say it wasn't nearly as good as I remembered. I wonder if it was because I ordered DimSum at night and maybe it had been prepared in the afternoon and was sitting around a while or if my palate just evolved, or the quality just went downhill. Has anyone been recently, and maybe offer some insight?

Still good. Maybe you had the rose colored glasses of youth on? Things are rarely as good as we remember from our youth.

I haven't been yet (have been planning to for quite a while now), but I believe that Robin still speaks highly of it.

They've been consistent for years and I mean that in a good way. It's our go-to for takeout.

I think highly of Jade Palace, but we go only for dim sum and only at midday on weekends, which is when you'll find it loaded with Chinese families and the dim sum coming out hot and fresh.

I haven't dined off the Chinese menu for years and would be very surprised if it's competitive with, for example, Red Pepper. But for dim sum, during traditional dim sum hours, it's da bomb.
