Mayan Shout Out

Just a shout out to the Mayan Cafe. I don't think it gets enough raves n kudos.

Some awesomeness:

-commitment to local growers on Market Mondays AND on the regular menu
-participation in Louisville Originals promotion
-the management staff strikes a perfect balance between professionalism & enthusiasm
-does any other place serve food like this, anywhere?

-STILL the best roast pork on earth. It becomes liquid.

I like a whole bunch of Louisville restaurants, but the Mayan reigns on my list.

I'll second that. I love it, and don't make it enough.

Their mole sauce rocks.

And a third on that!!!

Chili relleno, salbutes and the pork enchiladas are all 4 star.

My partner and I eat at the Mayan at least 2 or 3 times a month. It has become our pre-theatre supper spot. The whole staff is fantastic, especially Bruce, Ann and Tracy. They are always accomodating and helpful. The food speaks for itself. I have never had a negative food experience there. I love the place!

I have to agree with all of the above. I've never had even a mediocre experience there. They really know what they are doing. It's just a joy to eat there, I wish I could do it more often.

Just wanted to say thanks to Blake and Gary and everyone else who wrote such nice things about us! Bruce & I really appreciate all of your support. We work hard to provide excellent food, and it's always rewarding to hear when our customers enjoy it!
