Omelettes and Tofu Scramble at Ray's!! Finally!!

by Nimbus Couzin » Tue Jul 21, 2009 1:49 pm

Title says it all...

We'll be rolling out Omelettes and Tofu Scramble starting this Saturday morning (10am-2pm) and Sunday morning (10am-2pm)....Pricing isn't set in stone yet, but should be reasonable (in the $5 range)

If any of you foodies do happen to meander by, PLEASE feel free to give me feedback. I'm not going to be there for most of the first morning (my kiddo has a baseball game, which is my top priority), but it will be in good hands.

We plan on expanding to all day and/or weekdays depending on how it goes. We just have soooooo many people wanting food that it seems like a no-brainer. Our grilled cheese with avocados and tomatoes sells really well, but besides veggie burgers, and soup sometimes, that's all we've got.

Just wanted ya'll to know!!

Thanks..

Nimbus
p.s. I may bump this post up on Friday as a reminder. In case anyone is out on Bardstown Rd. Sat or Sun early in the day.

Just a rec for you, Nimbus - you might consider starting the food earlier on Saturdays. Not serving until 10am could hurt you on the Bardstown Road Farmers Market crowd. The die-hards want to hit the farmers market well before 10am, and when the bulk of the folks are leaving between 10 and 11am, they have hands full of things, some perishable, and thus would likely not stop in then either.

Just a suggestion. For example, I thought to myself, maybe I'll stop in tomorrow for breakfast en route to the market, but that would keep me from getting to the market until 10:15-10:30, which is a bit on the late side.

As for the opening time, Sweet and Savory is nine AM, and they've been there forever, so I figure they have it figured out pretty well. However, they cater to an older crowd. We cater more to the slackers and young families. I can see 9AM, but no way any earlier...

thanks for the thoughts...we'll see how it goes....waking up early!!

Cheers...

Nimbus, have you created a new demographic?
