Does Dakshin offer their buffet for dinner as well? I wanted to go there tonight and if they offer a buffet that might be easier for my daughter to sort of taste a couple of things and see what she thinks of the heat.

You know, I have been bemoaning that fact for ages....I do wish they would have a buffet.....If the "build" it, they will come......

Bill.. they do have a lunch buffet. Great way to sample stuff. Better than Shalimar.

Agreed. The only Indian place in town that I like more is Bombay Grill. I just went there today in fact, and I think the food is better on the weekends. They apparently spice it more to their Indian clientele's taste on the weekends, and tone it down for the weekdays.

I think its $7.99, but it might be a dollar more or less. Regardless, it is a great deal.

Anyone interested in meeting up on Saturday to chow on some Indian at Dakshin? I live close by think I'll be craving them by Saturday. Meet at 12:30 so it will be fresh!

I went there two weeks ago on a Sunday and it was full and I was the non Indian I believe. That tells me it must be pretty authentic.

Luv that DakShin! Mary's out right now, but I don't see anything on our calendar. Let me check with her, but I love the idea of running out there on Saturday.

Sure, who says we can't have an impromptu planned offline? Whether it's just a few or ten there should be plenty of food on the buffet!

Absolutely! Some of our best offlines have been impromptu. Or should foodies say "a la minute"?

I'd love to come. Unfortunately, Saturday is my family's annual rib cookoff, so I'll be up to my elbows in ribs and margaritas. :(
