Welcome to the Louisville Restaurants Forum, a civil place for the intelligent discussion of the local restaurant scene and just about any other topic related to food and drink in and around Louisville.
People here do get weirded out when they learn too much about the source of their food. Just the opposite in France where they won't eat it unless they know a lot about where it came from.

I dig it, but it certainly doesn't guarantee consistency as the raising of the individual cattle has a whole lot to do with the quality of the meat.

I like that actually. What weirded me out was the part in Fast food Nation, talking about meat coming from these huge processing places, how one meat patty could have 10,000 different contributors.
Im not a food"ie", I am a food"er".

What would have been truly weird is if the owner had named his bull "Kobe" instead of Prime and tried to pass his steaks off as Kobe Beef...
It all sounds good to me. I am gonna go have some goat bbq next week over at Roy Wilkins and Chestnut. Some people may consider that to be weird. It's all about perspective.
Great food along with great company is truly one of lifes best treasures.
