I don't know about the rest of you, but I've been looking for a wine function in Louisville that leaves a real, lasting impression on me, and will offer people something to gawk about for months to come. (And yes, I am a tough judge, so don't think I'm claiming that all wine events around town are lacking).
I have some amazing resources at my fingertips, so I've decided to host a wine event that will be sure to change your life. If you haven't had much experience with the Rhone Valley of France, please come to this dinner. You will never be the same.
The Oakroom will be hosting a rare wine dinner on the evening of July 24th.
We will begin with a reception at 6:30 and sip on some Pascal Jolivet Sancerre.
The next stop on our journey will be at the table, where Chef de Cuisine Bobby Benjamin will introduce his amuse bouche for the evening. Saint Marcellin anyone?
I won't give you all of the details just yet, but know the wines will consist of:

This one shouldn't be missed! The Seelbach will also be offering a discounted room rate of $79 for the night if you would like to take the elevator home.
The price of dinner is $100 per person (includes tax and gratuity).
