Equus / Jack's lounge

On 7/1 the two restaurants menus became one.
The new decor is nice in equus, anyway they are now connected. we stared in Jacks & then sat in Equus.
Had a FANTASTIC cold orange fennel soup !!
The wine was priced about 2 times retail.
However there were few wines under 50 bucks a bottle.
My ONLY complaint was wine selection & pricing.

Cynthia, I work at Equus/Jack's and agree with you that the change is exciting- it gives all diners more options.
I'm scratching my head about your comment about the wine list- I wonder if maybe you didn't see both sides. I just counted and there are over 40 wines under $50 and 15 under $32. That is a pretty good percentage of the list. Of course there is a good selection of higher end wines too for those who feel like a bit of indulgence.
Next time you are in please say hello- I always enjoy seeing other forumites.

Gary - Karen and I will be seeing you soon. I love the warm asparagus salad with morels, peas, and truffle vinaigrette. There are lot's of affordable wines on the list. The Avalon cabernet was very reasonable and quite tasty.

I look forward to seeing you Mark- but be warned: the Asperagus Salad if off the menu
Lots of other wonderful choices though. It really is the best of both menus.
