"Personal attacks are unwelcome here, even if you feel yourself justified. Please take a deep breath and think twice before you take on another forum member in that kind of tone again."

Whoa...So like when did I step into the preschool nursery? Tone? I didn't use any tone? Your "long-standing" member should be aware that some constructive criticism will be posted when she delivers a post beginning with
"i find a lot of people are afraid, embarrassed or too shy to complain these days,"
and ending her post with an equally aggressive, "
i've yet to lose an argument when i've been right."
.
P.S. There apparently is no shortage of complainers on this post huh?

Hi James - I noticed your first post was in the help wanted forum  Perhaps you'd like to consider presenting a more easy-going manner to the restaurant owners that'll be reading here. Just a suggestion, though...

Wow, that was totally unnecessary. In respect to Robin's rules of decorum, I'll leave it at that.

I would like to know where you work, if you found a job, so I can be sure to avoid the restaurant.

Again. Who are the adults here? Wreck who you want, but if someone says something towards someone else, "its not fair," and doesn't follow rules of decorum? And then somehow my opinions have something to do with my cooking skills? By the way, I work at Longhorn.

I guess you're screwed now, Brad

Edited to say: James, yours is a good point. I probably shouldn't be giving employment advice to anyone right now.

like i said. Are you all serious? She can dish it out, but not take it back? What is this, communication 01 in the first grade? Do we need to call the hallway monitor? Has anyone ever heard of the universal theory "for every reaction there is an equal but opposite reaction?"
My tone, my responses were all originally meant toward one person who started off a post about people who do not COMPLAIN enough at restaurants. Like I have said recently, there are plenty of people who complain on here, albeit I see it more like whining.

James, I enjoy a good heated discussion where issues are debated as much as the next guy. But STOP the slamming already! I find your posts very disturbing. What's the point of alienating the forum? I come here to see what's going on, talk about Louisville, and now and again mix it up a little- not to call people out or point fingers.
Robin has given us a gift of maintaining a wisely run sensible forum and I would hope in your future posts you keep that in mind. I repect a devil's advocate in discussions but there is a polite way of doing that.

[quote="annemarie m"]. apparently you are just a saucier"

Actually saucier has always been one of the more respected stations in the kitchen, it is a dying art and very, very, very few restaurants have a dedicated saucier any more, by dedicated I mean that is their main job. The economics of the kitchen no longer allow that kind of specialization. Stop the arguing and increase the peace or not; whatever works for ya.
