Good question. He was at Nios, but it sounds like he's in search of a new gig now. Hopefully he'll weigh in if he's working elsewhere at the moment. . .

Hey! Thanks for the props guys, you really made my day! Even though I don't post that often I suddenly feel all warm and fuzzy inside so I'll weigh in a little bit.
After Nios I moonlighted around for a moment and was hired as the last chef at Ferd Grisantis. This was an exciting opportunity to clean the place up and revamp the menu. The new owners were young and energetic so it seemed that the ingredients were there for something really special to happen. I even had access to the old recipes from Casa Grisanti through a source that I won't name here! Unfortunately Ferds fell victim to the economy.
After Ferds I moved to North End until mid spring of this year. Currently I am helping my dear friend Chef Dominic Saritori at Ditto's Grill. I've known Frank and Dominic since I was their bus boy in high school. Dom is kind of like my culinary father of sorts and I've always looked up to him as a mentor. I can't say enough good things about these guys and feel blessed that I have a safe haven in these still uncertain times.
I'm still too chicken to start the catering business I've always wanted, and yes ....still searching for the next good opportunity to come around. Thanks for the props! Dave

Congratulations, Jackie! Here's your talk show! :D

Hey ... on our Wine Forum we have a tradition that when a person reaches 1000 posts, he or she gets to choose (within reason) a unique "rank" rather than the standard "foodie" and such. What do y'all think about doing something like that here?

Cristina Cortez wrote:Hey everybody!!! I finally got my computer up and running, I was having some issues with it. I see that my husband Adrian has kept you posted of what's going on in the old Nio's location. Of course, I would love to hear suggestions. Mexican Tapas is defenitly a must considering the location and the late hours. I would be adding some South American/Caribbean and of course most of the taste will come from my home country Ecuador. :D

Sounds very exciting. Good luck, and I can't wait to try.

I'm sure she'd love to hear some requests.

South American you say? I'd love to see some true Peruvian dishes. Goodness how I miss the food there. Perhaps some Anticuchos de Corazon, Peruvian style ceviche, Lomo Saltado just to name a few...

Cuy is delicious, but only when fresh! Not something we'll likely see here in the 'ville. :)

Oops, I didn't know how to spell it. I heard it was awesome though.
