Slow night on LHB...

by Jackie R. » Sat Jul 04, 2009 10:21 pm

I've been staring at Ronnie's last post for almost 5 hours. No new posts! Y'all must be eating some good Q' and watching the works. I'm tethered to my computer tonight. Happy Independence Day! Who's gotta a good 4th of July story to tell???

Hey! Maybe my post is just that riveting!

Nah, I bet everyone is just out BBQ-ing it up! I know we just did and now I am stuffed! The mother-in-law really went out of her way to cook every single thing that you might find at a traditional American celebration of independence!

No good stories yet, but we are heading out to light off about $125 worth of Missouri-bought fireworks, so I'm sure I'll have more to relate soon...

wish me luck!

Happy 4th everyone!

yeah, noticed it is a slow night on Hotbytes. We didn't do anything today, I actually made a "mom cake" for my son. That was the highlight of our evening. :) :) :)

I LOVE IT! What's the meaning of the "Mom Cake"? That's so freakin cute, Becky!

Thanks Annemarie, my son loves Spiderman, so i made it for him.

Jackie, a "mom cake" is just that. A cake that a Mom makes, and isn't perfect but is made for the children. Nothing spectacular, my kids ask me for something and then i kind of just throw it together for them.

You remind me of my own mom, Becky. And that is a very good thing.

It was easy to say. You're a bonafide sweetheart and your efforts to create a fun and unique dining table are big. I can see a "Becky's family table" concept. Open up the cupboards, get excited, smiles all around. Happy fourth!

I think we were all out at picnics and parties! Our picnic (at some friends' house) moved indoors.

Glad to see some signs of life! Maybe we need to start a couple of polls to get people chattering today ...

10-4 on Gayle.

And Becky.

And Annemarie.

And Jackie.

And everyone on LHB except for one.
