Gasthaus NOT closed!

by Andrea E » Thu Jul 02, 2009 1:07 pm

I just drove by the Gasthaus on Brownsboro and there's a big "For Rent" sign posted overhead. Are they no more? Please say it ain't so!

Wow...a real blow to German dining options. Erica's is all that's left if that's the case.

Hey guys. It is the place next door for rent. The German place is still going strong. As is the Shady Lane Cafe. Today was possibly our biggest day ever, and that is saying a lot. Everyone is taking the holiday off early! Peace, Bill and Susi

We would be bumming if that was the case! We enjoy their food.

I towed my little boy to the barber over there, and they are open. Can we change the title of the post now that the confusion is cleared up? Rumors of closings are, I think, potentially bad for business.

Wow, glad they are still open. My wife and I have experienced many instances of guilt seeing that a place closed and I tell her we neglected them to death. As much as we love Gasthaus we rarely go there because the wait is so long... Hey, that could kill a restaurant! Right?
