i've heard krazy good things about this beer being possibly even better than kentucky breakfast stout and i'm pretty sure this is the first time it has been anywhere close to this area of town. this sounds like a great way to start the 4th.

We'll be aging ours for debut at Gravity Head 2010. Please give a report after tasting!

Had the KBS for the first time last week. Pretty tasty but more like a chocolate/coffee/oak liquer than a beer. Viscosity and appearance of engine oil/chocoate syrup. Had to share one 12oz with three friends to finish it, which is a good thing considering the price.

it was being sold for $8 for a 12 ounce glass or $10 for the pint, but if you had one of the nachbar pint mugs, you could get it filled for the 12 ounce price. i had two. it was extremely similar to kbs. the only huge difference was the lack of bourbon taste which was subsituted with some maple syrup taste, but not at a lot. it still had the same great mouthfill and fullness of a kbs and pretty much drank like one. if i were only drinking, i'd take a kbs everytime. if eating however, the cbs takes the cake.

there were waffles with assorted toppings and fruits and veggie mushroom gravy with biscuits and some sort of false egg quiche dish that i didn't brave. also, a lady made a ton of banana muffins and was passing them out to people. james the owner's wife heather made a huge pile of awesome chocolate cupcakes made with mikkeller black hole which where better than the beer was. there were two of the "i guess you can call this a keg" 1/6 barrels and the second one was almost empty around 2pm. it was actually pretty packed and there were lots of dogs and it was a great start to the 4th.
