the other side of the river.....
(Note: The minister has spoken to the Lord on our behalf and given the good cause God has seen fit to give the competitors a waiver and allow us to discretely consume alcohol in our cooking area during the competition...Just thought I'd mention this so none of you would think we were going to burn in hell for enjoying a couple of barley pops on church grounds).
Becky M wrote:Wow this sounds cool, family friendly, and for a good cause. And the prices are DEFINITELY family friendly. Plus, church women can cook, so the sides will probably be good. This sounds like a nice place to check out this weekend. One question: Is there an entrance fee to attend?
P.S. This one made my husband and i laugh so much!(Note: The minister has spoken to the Lord on our behalf and given the good cause God has seen fit to give the competitors a waiver and allow us to discretely consume alcohol in our cooking area during the competition...Just thought I'd mention this so none of you would think we were going to burn in hell for enjoying a couple of barley pops on church grounds).

This sounds like a good thing for my husband ( a old car nut) and me (a bbq nut). Thanks for the info. Oh and by the way are you sure the car show is Friday? When I went the the church website it said that Friday is bike night and that the car show is Sat.?????![]()

Thanks for the heads up on this festival the bbq was great, music was good, and lots of great cars. If we could have turned the heat down about 10 degrees it would have been perfect. It was good to meet you and Becky. We will definately put this on our calendar for next year!
Thanks again,
Karen H
