Lines were the issue. We could get food, and some of it looked rather interesting, but couldn't get a beverage....ANY beverage...to save our lives. I was looking forward to seeing a race "under the lights" but we were hungry, thirsty and had parked out where we parked for the Oaks, so instead we hauled ourselves back to the car and headed for Jarfi's on Bardstown Rd....

They got another shot at making it better tomorrow. Look for me playing (and hitting the buffet) on Millionare's row 4 starting at 4. My friends will be upstairs on 6 with Bobby J.

The local news reported a crowd of, I think, 27,600. Night racing proves to be popular!

MUCH better managed than last week....we had a very enjoyable time. Surprisingly, I thought the chicken and veggie kebobs offered at one of the paddock food stands was really pretty good too. All in all, I thought they did a nice job of recovering from last week's difficulty
