Is everybody ok? That was on hell of a storm that blew thru. I'm happy to report that I have not seen any damage from my vantage point at 4th and Broadway

Barret at St Anthony got hit with lots of wind, lightning and rain, but no damage as far as I can see, other than a little flooding in our building, which the management company already knew about and was taking steps to fix this past month.

Lost a 60' oak tree. Down across the road but no property damage or injuries.

We lost power in Clarksville for about 20 minutes. Tons of wind and rain with this storm.

We rode it out most of it at home and then I had to drive over to St. Matthew's for a meeting while it was still coming down pretty hard. Some deep water over Lexington and Frankfort near Rainbow Blossom but otherwise uneventful for me. A great light and sound show, nature in all its glory, and no tornado sirens or damage that I could see.

Not so much fun for those who lost trees or property, though. :(

We had a lot of rain and wind in Anchorage and we have some small limbs down but no serious damage. We thought the fish were going to swim out of the Koi pond for awhile because we have so much water but we just did a headcount in they're all accounted for!

That's one thing I definitely hate about satellite television, when it's raining hard is when you want to watch TV the most and it goes out. I keep saying of trying it instead of cable but then I read something like this and decide to keep cable. Maybe when AT&T gets U-Verse on-line here I'll try it. At least it will give people some competition.

My brother had U-Verse for a while, but he didn't like it - can't remember why exactly, but he was pretty frustrated with it, and went back to cable.

I've been a DirecTV customer for over 10 years and can't imagine going back to cable. On the rare times I lose the signal 9 times out of 10 it's during a situation where one probably shouldn't be watching TV in the first place (severe lightning, etc). The thing I REALLY like about DirecTV is that on the rare occasion I do need customer service I can actually talk to a human being within a couple of seconds. Just my two cents

Bardstown Road near Grinstead lost all power for a few minutes while I was driving down it, that was kind of exciting. I was more terrified, however, when the sky turned that special "tornado green" hue.

I had dish network a few years ago. It would go out maybe 4-5 times / year for a total of maybe, just maybe 5 hours. I didn't mind. Much better price and number of stations. Now I just have a good old fashioned antenna, ten stations for FREE!

Weatherwise, I was just back from playing basketball when it started to pour, so good timing. No power outages here at Bonnycastle and Bardstown. The power grid here on Bardstown Rd seems pretty mighty. Power even stayed on last year during that hurricane aftermath.....
