Slow this last week or so - Anyone else?

by Nimbus Couzin » Thu Jun 18, 2009 12:55 am

Yeah, I've noticed a slowdown in business about the last seven days....anyone else notice anything similar?

I know all of our businesses are different, and we all peak at different times, just curious. Rain never helps us either (foot traffic)....

Cheers,

-Nimbus

(our busiest months last year were August, Sept, October but the holiday season is always pretty rockin' too)

We are up over last year this week, and up over the year vs the same period last year. :D

Yeah, overall, Ray's has been up about 30-40% versus last year, so we've been quite happy. I just noticed a slump this past week.

Retail is impossible to figure out. Theories abound. Weather theories are always interesting. In the end, you never know what to expect (but some patterns are worth noticiing - busy holidays, day before or after a holiday, derby, spring break, exam week, etc). Weather is always a wild card. At least no ice storms are in the forecast!!

I think this was the typical week for kids out of school for sumer break, to leave with families for vacation. Although I wonder how far people are traveling, I think they'll still travel somewhere for a break.
