All,

Not sure if any of you were planning on visiting us at the Jeffersonville BBQ contest this weekend but just in case you were I wanted to post a note to let you know that due to a family emergency we had to withdraw from the contest. I feel particularly disappointed because we had some great forum-byters lined up as honorary team members (Gayle DeM, Bob and Carol C. and Andrea and Mike from "Sweet Treats"). I'm optimistic that we're going to be able to cook another local contest (New Albany) on June 26/27, if that turns out to be the case I am hopeful that we'll be able to extend an invitation for these folks (and others) to join us for a good time.

Hope it's nothing serious with the family, Steve. The 26th/27th happens to be a rare weekend off. I've been missing my foodie friends so I hope to be there.

Ed,

No nothing real serious. My mom had an appendectomy and needs to have someone close by for a few days.

After missing the J'ville contest we're really hoping we can pull of the New Albany gig at the end of the month. To go along with our disappointment we had to cancel a pretty big order with Butcher's Best. Glad we were able to catch Jimmy before he started working his meat magic
