New Albany location for new restaurant.

by Chad Dowell » Tue May 15, 2007 10:26 am

Hi guys, I love this forum, I was in the restaurant buisness for 4 years and I miss it a little. I don't know if this is the appropriate place to post this but I'm new here. I currently work in commercial real estate here in New Albany, and I, along with Mike Kopp have been working on bringing new restaurants to the area. I wouldn't waste anyone's time with this but we are currently looking for a new restaurant for a location on Grantline Rd. We have a 5200 sq. ft. building for sale, it is currently a bar and grill, 3-way liquor license goes with the sale of the building. I would be happy to send information to anyone who would be interested. This would be a great location for you! Feel free to call me anytime if you would be interested. I have sites all over southern Indiana.

Thanks Dave, I appreciate the invite. I will be there soon for that beer. If you haven't been to Bistro New Albany everyone, you're missing the finest southern Indiana has to offer!

That's just a perfect opening for a Hoosier joke but I will show restraint in order to not look mean

Chad, the location wouldn't happen to be close to my place, would it? You can e-mail me privately if you wish.

because saying you're missing the finest southern Indiana has to offer! makes me lol.

No offense to Mr. Clancy because I have eaten at his place and it is great and probably is the best S. Indiana has to offer because, well, S. Indiana doesn't have much offer in the fine dining category.

That's changing fast, though, with BNA, Stratto's, RockWall, Rich O's/NABC, Federal Hill, La Rosita, Mai's Thai, Come Back Inn and Frank's, just to name a few, not to mention the Caesar's complex, the riverfront strip, the Lewis & Clark mile-O-chains and the Eastern Boulevard taqueria strip.

Indeed, old perceptions die hard.

That's why we have new generations. I only wish I were a decade younger ... but so it goes.
