Packo's Pickles & Peppers - Cookout on Sunday 6/3 - New

by Melissa Richards-Person » Mon May 14, 2007 9:24 am

** Note - this idea originated in the thread about Tony Packo's Pickles & Peppers. The talk turned from the Pickles and Peppers, which you can get at Meijer, Fresh Market and Kroger; to the Hot Dogs and sauce - which are served at the namesake restaurant in Toledo, and which you cannot get here.

Here is the website: http://www.tonypackos.com/

OK - For Leah, Robin, Doogy, Ed, Rebecca and all others hankering for a taste of a REAL Tony Packo's hot dog WITH those famous Pickles N' Peppers...

I've returned from the wilds of East Toledo with a load of Packo Dogs and am ready for a cookout, and Rebecca has reportedly dug out her official Packo's uniform apron, so we are ready for a cookout for all interested Forumites on Sunday, June 3rd at 4pm, tentatively at ourplace, in the 'burbs off the Gene Snyder and Lagrange Rd,

Here is how I'm thinking this will work:

- I will post a separate thread in the offline "meetup" section of the forum. Those interested can RSVP there. I will send you a private message with directions
- Everyone who is interested in attending can bring some Packo's Pickles and Peppers, Hoagie rolls, a side dish or beer (Roger or David especially :-)

Hope to see lots of people!
Melissa

Hi again - I edited my original post to reflect the website and how this idea originated. Been working the last few days, so I'm just getting around to sending e-mails to those who have posted in the offline forum.

Hope to share the Packo's afterburn with many fellow foodies!
