Anyone know where you can still get these? Theater Square and Slice of NY used to have them, both dearly departed now. They had them at the Shiraz in Holiday Manor for a short time as well. Google brings up nothing, zilch. I believe they are out of Prospect. They are some of the best I've ever had.

I think they still have them at Shiraz Holiday Manor (as of a week ago). Steve-O's in Buckner also carries them. Don't know if Steve-O's in Crestwood does.

No, I was in Shiraz last night and the case was gone. I was told they don't have them any more. Thanks though.

On a slight tangent, although the name on the label strongly implied that this was a Louisville product, the guy at the short-lived Slice of NY insisted that the Louis Villa ices came from someplace in NY - maybe Brooklyn. Was he just having me on?

(Added: Googling brings up absolutely nothing on "Louis Villa" and just one hit on "Louie Villa," a vendor booth for Louie Villa’s Italian Ice at last year's WorldFest on the Belvedere. That suggests that it was a local operation, and perhaps one that never got its name on the Internet ...)

When I owned Fast Break Pizza -- we sold Italian Ice for a little while. The product was shipped from New York. A local family operation was distributing it here locally. I don't remember the name of the company or anything about them. I just remember the sales person telling me that it was the same Italian Ice company that was featured in the opening credits of "King of Queens.." Actually I probably have emails from them. (Goes off to check email box.) Okay, sent an email to the old address I had. The name of the company in the email was TriGold Distributors. If I get a response back, I'll post an update here.

hey we have the Louis Villa Italian Ice at the CPC

Louis Villa was apparently the "lemon ice king of corona" a neighborhood in Queens and they distribute their Italian Ice throughout the country

We have a few flavors right now,
pina colada
tangerine
orange
cotton candy (i think we have some left)
and one labeled raspberry, but its very dark purple and taste like grape to me
