Churrascaria?

by Adam C » Mon Jun 01, 2009 7:45 pm

I have to try one of these places... All you can eat meat... Does anyone know where the closest one is located? I heard a rumor that there was one in Northern Kentucky but i haven 't been able to find it. Any experiences?

Thanks!

The closes one is in Cicinnati called Boi Na Braza. If you can do Chicago, I would do Fogo De Chao. Boi Na Braza is good, but not quite Fogo De Chao.Texas was one of the first places to have them, outside of Brazil. They have about 10 different ones.

Avoid filling up on the Salad Bar. In fact, skip it. Most people eat one or two plates of salad; having only enough room left over for a couple rounds of other meats. I've been to one in Las Vegas a couple times and enjoyed it; especially their Caipirinhas.

Ahh.. yet another reason to visit one of my favorite cities: Chicago. Thanks! I've also heard that you shouldn't fill up on the first couple of rounds because the prime cuts come later. How exotic is it or is it just beef, pork, and chicken? No lamb, bison, seafood, ostrich, etc? Either way, churrascaria's seem to be full of awesome. Thanks again!

(This is a hard topic to think about just before lunch!)

We did Fogo for Thanksgiving this year in Chicago. The salad/antipasto bar was the most decadent we had ever seen. Many upper end items to be found on it including a great selection of aged cheeses. The meats were all excellent, each giving us the option of medium to well done with each skewer. Needless to say we all left in a meat coma and all decided not to go out for drinks afterwards. I loved it and would definitely go back next time we're in town.

Ok what kind of flavor are we talking? Is it anything like Palermo Viejo? I love their food! :D Has anyone been to the one in Cincinnati?
