A couple of weeks ago I posted a note offering a $125 "prize" to the person who created the best logo for our BBQ team; THe Rolling Bones. Here is a view of the new design, created By Jason Greenwood of (sigh) Edmond, OK...Pretty cool huh ? Thanks to all expressed an interest or submitted a design.

You asked what we thought, so.... (or was that rhetorical?)

I'd get rid of the obvious Stones reference with the lips. No, I'm not an idiot. I get the connection between the band name, the Rolling Stones, the picture of the band, the BBQ concept. It's registering. It's cool. It's just that it works without the obvious, glaring Stones rip-off. It all works (really well) for me right up until the lips. As those lips are bright red and in the center(ish) of the logo, it also is the visual eye grabber. Is that what you really want; the over-the-top rip-off to be the visual attention setter?

A pig's tongue(as someone suggested), to go along with the theme, could be cool....

Yeah, the Mick Jagger pose is pretty obvious, and works well.

Pig lips could be cool though.

I appreciate the feedback we got on this design and took them into consideration in the final "tweaking". Here is the final edition. Hope ya'll will stop by to see us at the J-ville cook off in a couple of weeks.
