Paul Kirk BBQ Cooking Class - Learn from the best

by Steve P » Wed May 13, 2009 10:23 am

I noticed this in the most recent KCBS newsletter and thought I'd pass it along.

For anyone who has ever had a desire to learn more about the art of BBQ, on June 20th there is an opportunity to learn from one of the best in the world. Paul Kirk "The Baron of BBQ" will be presenting a BBQ cooking class at the "Good ol Days Farm" in Midway KY. Paul is the author of several best selling BBQ cookbooks, he has appeared on many television networks (Food Network, Discovery, etc, etc) and has won over 475 BBQ competitions. He is probably the most respected BBQ "Chef" in the country and in BBQ circles attending one of his classes is akin to receiving a lesson in French cooking from Julia Child herself. I have no idea of the cost. More info can be found by contacting John Dance @ 859-873-9520.

The Good ol' Days Farm sounds like a really interesting place in and of itself. Definately a "Kentucky Proud" kinda place. The website is:

Looks like he also came through last year... cost then was $250 a person and it ran from 8am-5pm.

It sounds very interesting... thanks for the heads up.
