Was anyone aware that he is apparently a bad guy from the Dick Tracy movie Warren Beatty and Madonna made a few years ago?

That's hilarious.

I've seen him driving his Ferrari through downtown Cincinnati with a huge cigar stuck in his mouth. Just the kind of guy who would tell O.J. to get lost!

I just couldn't help myself from trying to think of what that photo of Ruby reminded me of...

Darkman came to mind first:

I put vegetables in your desserts, white chocolate with your fish and other nonsense stuff that you think shouldn't make sense, but coax the nonsense into something that makes complete sense in your mouth. Just open your mind, mouth and eat.

Re: Jeff Ruby Pic from the CJ

It's really difficult to get me to believe in his morality after allowing a pic like that, if indeed that is the one in the CJ? I am almost convinced he is the marketing genius I thought he might be. Another post talks about ferrari's and cigars. This guy is a tool but a very business conscientious tool. His outdated, HBO persona and his pocket lining bravado makes me tired. I would like to see this tough man-o-morality's track record on philanthropy. I am sure he is going out of his way for all of those less fortunate. It's nice to pick and choose when you want to be moral, why not go the whole nine? Snore.

I see the pic is also on his website homepage. So I imagine that's where the CJ got the pic. He strikes me as a guy who really wants to be the very moral cliche American gangster. Perhaps if someone explained to him that OJ didn't murder but "whacked" two people, he would be ok with that?

Other than those things, I don't know the guy and I am just ranting aka running off at the mouth. :P

I wonder if Jeff Ruby was singing and dancing to Singin' In The Rain while he was "kicking" Mr. Simpson out of his restaurant...

Kewl

by Doogy R » Sat May 12, 2007 12:39 am

I think he looks kewl as all get out. Sooooooo gangsta. How many of you have actually met the man and talked with him? I have. I am so glad he is in our fair city and stood his ground. In the last decade or so, the USA has had a great mass migration away from personal accountability. I am glad to personally know a man who goes against that tide.

I saw Jeff Ruby on Glenn Beck tonight, it was an interesting interview.
Ruby said "If OJ ever comes back in again, I'll punch him in the mouth".

Ha! Now that kind of talk, I actually appreciate but it's a little after the fact so he just looks like a fool. I would have loved it if that was his first inclination. That would have been great. If he walked over to OJ and punched him in the face, that would be awesome but he didn't.

Punching him in the face would be lowering himself to a thug's level. I don't like Ruby's restaurants because they are smoke pits. Tropicana had great food but the night was ruined by LOTS of smoke.
