Luna Mercato Gourmet Update #2

by Brad Hayden » Mon May 04, 2009 6:58 pm

It's been a while since you have seen an update from your favorite gourmet name Luna Mercato. I am proud to announce the addition of a few products along with updating you on already existing products.

New Products:

We are proud to announce 4 new products for the Luna Mercato. These products are Strawberry, Blackberry and Blueberry Barbecue Sauce, along with our own Gourmet Salsa.
Our Barbecue Sauce is so devilishly good, you may find putting the product on anything but meat to be a sin. Try our sauce on Ribs, Chicken, Steaks, even Hamburgers. Be creative, have fun! One lady loves to use the Blueberry BBQ sauce for her BBQ Chicken Pizza. You will enjoy the best of all 3 worlds (sweetness, spicy, smoky) with our BBQ Sauces. The sweetness from the fruit, yet not to strong that you’re going to pucker your cheeks.

Our Salsa is a sweet salsa with a pinch of kick at the end. You will notice that our salsa is chunky and not "watered down" like many out there.

Cheese Spreads & Dressings:

There are a few things I would like to bring to your attention about Luna Mercato and our cheese spreads & dressings. The containers used with both our dressings & spreads, you may have notice has changed a little in color. This is due to our purchasing of plastic containers that contain at least 20% post consumer recycled plastic material. We our proud to offer this and able to keep the price the same. Secondly, we are continuing to purchase more and more of our raw ingredients from Kentuckians. Most of our cheese like gouda, white cheddar, bourbon white cheddar, montary jack and so on are purchased by a dairy farm in Glasgow, KY. We now purchase most of our peppers, cucumbers and many others fresh vegtebles from a local farmers market. We felt it's a duty of Luna Mercato to support Kentuckians as they have supported our products.

You will find most of the new products in the same retail outlets as the cheese spreads & dressings are currently in. If they are not, BUG them till they do carry out products :P.

I wanted to thank you for support to continueing to allow us to bring affordable gourmet to Kentuckians and thanks Robin for letting me post this.

The new products have been out for a while and I was just curious if some people could either post here or email their inputs/stories/reviews.

Thanks for the reminder. I haven't had a chance to try them yet, but I have had a different blueberry barbecue sauce before and it was totally amazing. I'll have to try yours soon!
