The website for the Bardstown Road market says every Saturday and doesn't mention Derby, so I assume it is.

No idea about Norton's.

Bardstown rd will be open this Saturday. If you need plants, look for us in the beat up old bread truck that needs a paint job.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

LOL! If we make to Bardstown Rd., we sure will look for you (that used to be 'my' farmers' mkt. looooved it) I definitely need plants, and herbs. Do you sell herbs? I am going to plant Italian Parsley, Basil, Thai Basil, Oregano, Thyme, maybe Rosemary and a couple of others.

Also looking for fresh, local ASPARAGUS!!!!

Yeah we grow/sell herbs. Some of them are still a bit small to bring out, but I should most of what you are looking for. I normally send my Mom to do that market, Ill make sure she has some herbs on the truck.

OOPs, their list's not complete. I've been to that market the past two weeks and bought wonderful Flat-iron steaks and Hamburger from FoxHollow Farms. The FoxHollow CSA is also there selling greens , herbs and tomato plants.

Oh, that sounds great! How does their flat iron steak compare to that of Butcher's Best, do you know? (or maybe that's where BB gets theirs?)

Kim,

I can't compare to Butcher's Best as I've not tried theirs. We had the Fox Hollow Flat Iron two weeks agao, and we were so impressed with the depth of flavor ( no marinade- just salt and peppert, topped with a chimmichurri sauce) that this week we bought ground beef for our first hamburgers of the season. That was also excellent! I'm going back Sat. to pickup more ground beef to make minature hamburgers for a Derby Party ....

That sounds great! Do you have a recipe for chimichurri that you're willing to share? (I apologize - I probably should've initially posted this thread on the Kitchen Forum  )
