reservations for Tuesday

by Megan Watts » Thu Apr 30, 2009 9:18 am

My company is being taken out by one of our lovely reps on Tues. the 5th and we need someplace than can accomodate about 11 people. I tried Cafe Lou Lou but Open Table said they couldn't take us :(
We're looking for someplace that has a little bit of everything because we have some "picky petes" in the group. And the other requirement is that they have great desserts! We work in the Norton Suburban area so we'd like something in somewhat close proximity.
Thanks for any and all suggestions!!

I have found that Open Table doesn't always tell it like it is. So you may want to try calling Cafe Lou Lou personally.

Agree. For example, I made reservations at Varanese for Oaks Friday through OpenTable. Earliest I could get was 10:30. I called, and got in a hour earlier.

Also, some restaurants won't allow reservations for very large groups through OpenTable, so it's feasible you couldn't make a reservation for 11 at Lou Lou ever through OpenTable. In fact, I think I ran into this problem trying to get a table for 8 at the St. Matthews Lou Lou a few months ago--it told me nothing was available, but when I called they easily got us in.

Which Lou Lou, Megan? I just made the first spring batch of Berries-n-Champagne sorbet for both locations today!

We're going to the St. Matthews location. That sounds great!
I have a person wondering if you'll have something chocolate on the menu?

Yeah, the current chocolate offering is the "Ridiculous Brownie" - a warm, gooey brownie topped with sweetened cream cheese, chocolate custard, chocolate sauce and chocolate chips.
