I live very close and I've only been twice.

The first time I got an average but certainly edible cheeseburger to go.

The second time I got breakfast. I didn't care for it, so I've never been back.

I didn't have any problem with the service.

I know the owner of Whitney's Diner, Whitney is my niece, her father is the owner, he doesn't see her, he never pays child support, but yet he uses her name for his restaurant. She has nothing to do with him. I will not elaborate further, but they could have Bobby Flay as the head chef and I wouldn't step foot in there. If this is inappropriate Robin, then I will delete this post if you feel I need to. This is a very emotional subject to me.

I asked because we ate there last night. I didn't want to be one of those first time posters that pops out with a horrible review but it was so bad I just can't help myself so sorry .......
We were taken to our table across a floor so sticky that your shoes made noises every time you lifted your foot. The server came up to ask us what we wanted and her shirt was so dirty with food and gunk on it that it wasn't very appetizing. I ordered a grilled cheese, onion rings and a soft drink which according to the menu came with the sandwich for $2.00 (not talking high priced joint here LOL) my Mother ordered French Toast breakfast, which was average when it came out. The problem was when she brought the grilled cheese it was two thick pieces of white bread, barely toasted no butter or anything, they were cold with a slice of barely melted on the edge American Cheese. I'm not one to complain much but after one bite I decided I wasn't going to eat it. When the server came back to ask how things were I held up he sandwich and said I thought that was the worst grilled cheese I had ever seen and she agreed it looked bad and turned around and walked off. She never offered to cook another one, take it off the bill, said I'm sorry etc, etc. I was flabergasted when she brought the bill and it was on there. She never offered to refill my soft drink or anything after we told her. To top it all off when my Mom went up to pay the bill which was $10.00 plus some change she told her it was really $13.00 something because she had forgotten to put the drinks on the bill! Mom argued for awhile to no avail and we left never to return! Just thought I would warn others.

Perfect timing. I had never heard of this place until we got a coupon in the mail yesterday. We were thinking of trying it out (we love diners), but think we'll pass now. Thanks for the heads up!

The only "diner" about this place is in the name. Save your money.
