Amazing!! I read a snippet about this place in a recent Velocity and subsequently added it my list of places to go. Now I will be able to make it much sooner than planned. I haven't had good gator tail since Woodrow's in Houston back in 06!

You'll have to let us know if this counts as "good" gator tail.

I'm on record as having an absolutely terrible dinner there. Don't want to belabor things, but the gator tail seemed ground, mushy, standard bagged frozen item where a handful of "nuggets" were taken from the freezer bag, fried, and handed out.

I'm hoping that you enjoy it . . . the restaurant is close to me, and I'd love to have another seafood option nearby, but won't try it without a positive review!

Hmmmm...what you are describing does not just sound like they were having an "off night". I am going to give it a spin anyway since it is buy one get one and let you know what I think. I may, however, steer clear of the gator tail based on your recommendation. I guess it all depends on what kind of mood I am in at the time.

I rarely say anything negative about local independents prefering to just not comment and avoiding places in future. In this case I will only say that Red Lobster offers a gourmet dining experience when compared to Macca's. I could find nothing about our one visit that was positive. It's your money to waste even with 2 for 1.

I've been 3 times and have yet to be impressed. The food is never the right temp (cool) and is lacking in the flavor department. The chips and salsa were quite good. It is about on par with King Fish.

I think they are fairly busy none-the-less. Go figure?

I drove past the Olive Garden on Hurstbourne last Friday and people were standing outside waiting for tables. To me this just indicates that some people are looking for different things than others in a dining experience. Personally I have decided that I am not going to Macca's even with the 2for1 in light of the fact that I have yet to see a positive review. My wife wants us to take the moms to Perla Del Pacifico anyway, which now looks like a much better choice.
