Shady Lane Cafe Offering Post Derby Sunday Brunch

by Susanne Smith » Mon Apr 27, 2009 9:04 am

We will be having a wonderful limited ala carte Brunch with about eight main menu items, ranging from traditional Eggs Benedict, etc... to some of our standard faves, like Brie and Pesto Omelettes, Pecan Pancakes with Peach Compote, Apple Wood Smoked Bacon, Cheese Grits, and several other surprises.

We don't usually do Sunday Brunches, but thought it might be a good day for some of you who haven't been able to make it to the Shady Lane yet for our Saturday breakfast and for those who are ready for some good old-school home cooking.

We'll serve this special Brunch from 10 am til 3pm Sunday after Derby..one time only.

I had lunch there earlier today, and it was wonderful! My first time going to Shady Lane, and it won't be my last. I must have another one of those brie-and-pesto omlettes!

A big thank you for an OUTSTANDING brunch today. Duncan and I had the Hot Browns and Cindy had the pancakes with apricot compote. Fresh, fast and mouth watering.

Simply an amazing Hot Brown. Please post next time you are going to be serving them for brunch.
