Ky BBQ Co.

We went Friday for the first time. Trolley Hop night is always a good excuse to try someplace new. We shared a rib and pulled pork platter with red potato salad and cheese grits. Also fried green tomatoes. Everything was really good. Sat inside because we use to go to the Cafe Lou Lou and liked their bar area.

Sat. afternoon we returned to have some other menu items. We shared the Big Bubba sandwich - I think that's the name. Our younger daughter's favorite. Pulled pork with slaw. Had sweet potato fries this time with green beans. Really good beans cooked a long time with ham. The way I like them. We sit outside at the picnic table. (Prefer the wider sidewalk there. Sat at El Mundo Fri. night after Ky BBQ and it was a tight fit. Should have gone to the back. My family lived on Pope when they moved to Louisville back in the 30's. Probably hasn't changed much.)

Really recommend this place and will be craving their food. We had always planned to get food to go and take it to the Tap Room, so now we know.

(Friday night we went to the BBQ, Butchertown Marketplace, Balloon Glow, El Mundo & BBC. Sat., Denny Crum's Cornhole contest, Cherokee Park Art Festival, Ky BBQ, UL vs. Notre Dame Baseball, Schnitzelberg Walk, and BBC. Great weekend. Staying at home today and enjoying another day in a different way.)
