Let me correct myself and say MORE places. The east end is over flowing with them.

I think this is a mistake - you cant replicate the feel of the current location, especially in a more modern building. I have always been a huge fan of Cafe Lou Lou and the food is wonderful, but why leave such a dynamic area for one that is boring. I live in the east end and am more than willing to drive there and park down the street. It is worth it to feel like I am eating out in louisville and not some bland suburb.

If anything, a downtown location would be best - its forward thinking. Plenty of parking and dynamic growth.

Oh well...

I have to agree with John, one thing that makes Cafe Lou Lou so unique is the location and the funky set up of the dining room(s). That being said I wish them nothing but success in the new location.

Clay:
Love the food, love the current atmoshere. Will come more often in the new location. I don't think that strip restrained the growth of Asiatique, Havana Rumba, Equus or Jack's. Best of luck.

I love cafe lou lou and it was one of my favorite spots for lunch not sure I could do it now as it is farther away from downtown but I am sure we will find a way to get there for dinner. I wish nothing but the best to Clay and Helen.
