Oceanside for sale

by NDDuncan » Wed Apr 22, 2009 4:27 pm

Sad to say, Oceanside is for sale . Touria (the owner) gave me the o.k. to post
the news here. She says she doesn't want to close till she can hand the keys over
to a new owner...they're asking $60,000.

What a shame - my hubby & I always say they would be a hit on Bardstown Road
or Frankfort Ave. The food is great and very reasonably priced. Last month, we
had friends over for game night - we got 2 orders of paella, 4 salads and 20 wings.
It fed 5 adults, 2 teens and 2 kids, and we had left-overs! It all came to $46.00!!!

I've never heard of that place but that sounds like an amazing deal. I sorry I missed out on it!

I picked up dinner tonight from Oceanside after reading this post this afternoon . . . I have been out of town for a week and didn't expect such bad news upon returning. If you have not been to this place, they have some of the best fried fish in Louisville (corn meal based breading with a slight lemony peppery flavor) as well as a few Moroccan specialties. Touria said that she can also handle special requests (Moroccan dishes) if you call ahead and she does still do catering if any of you are interested. She is one of the nicest people I have ever met and her food is delicious and a bargain. It is also one of the cleanest places I have ever been. She is looking for a partner in the business if anyone is interested . . . she is hanging on by word of mouth right now, but I don't believe that she is getting the neighborhood traffic that she needs to sustain. If you like good fish and nice people, you need to go to Oceanside right now!
