Dined at two 'new 2 us' local spots

Friday night, heading to the 2nd Cafe Lou Lou location, which we haven't been to, we pulled into Dundee Tavern instead. (heading to Bellarmine) Sat at the bar. Surprised to see how big the place was. Newer also than I would have thought. Very reasonably priced food and drinks.
(Sitting at the bar is our first choice.)

Sat. morning after the MS walk we searched for breakfast. Ended up at Beignets and really enjoyed it. We had omelets, beignets, and chickory coffee. Everything good. Our younger daughter, who lives in Irish Hill, was our guest. She is looking forward to going back for the Sunday fried chicken.

Yeah, Dundee is an awesome little spot. It's the bar I've been going to since I became of age, back when it was in the spot that the pink door is in now.

I used to live just around the corner from Cafe Beignet/Fish House, it was great for getting up on the weekends and wandering over, kicking back and reading the paper and just watching the world go by. I still get up there for lunch every now and then, but haven't done breakfast since I moved.
