Friday of Derby: Who has a table for 4-6?

by Broc Smith » Sun Apr 12, 2009 8:15 pm

Just a quick poll of who has availabilty Friday of Derby. Since it has taken my group so long to finalize plans, reservations at a great restaurant are going to be harder to come by.

I'll take suggestions.

Thank you,

Broc

Have you tried going to Open Table Reservations?

Most of the local independents restaurants are on that site and you can easily check all of them at once for reservation availability for a given date and time. I find it very useful in many cases. As an added perk, if you use it regularly you'll qualify for a gift certificate after a number of visits.

Just a word to the wise: even if Open Table says a restaurant has no tables it never hurts to call yourself. Often an establishment will keep tables for their own reservations, and if the palce is booked you can talk to a human and get on a waiting list.

You would be surprised how many of your favorite restaurants you can squeeze into on the first or third seatings... 5:30 or 9:30- ish.
