New Glarus Wisconsin Craft Beer

by Tony P. » Fri Apr 10, 2009 12:44 pm

I just returned form Waupaca, Wisconsin and discovered this wonderful beer. They have a "Spotted Cow" and a "Fat Squirrel". I liked it so much I brought back several cases. I also went to a "Supper Club", really cool atmoshere a throwback to the 70's.

New Glarus makes some fantastic beers.
A co-worker of mine is originally from Wisconsin, and he's usually kind enough to bring me back a mixed assortment from time to time.

I put vegetables in your desserts, white chocolate with your fish and other nonsense stuff that you think shouldn't make sense, but coax the nonsense into something that makes complete sense in your mouth. Just open your mind, mouth and eat.

Wisconsin (and the rest of the upper Midwest) have some really awesome regional and craft beers by any standards. My favorite town in Wisconsin ?...Gotta be Superior. Population 27'000...licensed bars 270. Co-inky-dink ? I don't think so.
