They're baaaack - CHICAGO GYRO is open (again)!!

Just talked to Tom, owner of Chicago Gyro, and they are now open.
Hours are Mon - Fri 11AM - 9PM, Sat Noon - 8PM, closed Sunday.

Thanks for the heads up! Pass by there on the way to work and now I can stop in to pick up dinner on the way in. Good food at a great price.

I really liked the food at Chicago Gyros, but unless management has changed their setup (i.e. one guy in charge of everything), I don't think things will change.

Just like the taco stand in Lyndon, I made several stops to Chicago only to find them closed (when they were supposed to be open). I will only go if I am in the area (which is about once every 2 months).

Wish it wern't so, but things have to be run sharper if they want my business.

No, but it's one of the smallest free-standing independent eateries around, not a whole lot bigger than a trailer.

I had a gyro from them about a year ago and it was really good and inexpensive. The really great part was the extremely nice man running the place. I think he said he was a middle school teacher (?). He was sooo friendly.
