Welcome to the Louisville Restaurants Forum, a civil place for the intelligent discussion of the local restaurant scene and just about any other topic related to food and drink in and around Louisville.
I remember reading a review recently about a local restaurant that made excellent spaghetti and clams, but can't remember the name of the place. Did anybody else see this review? Any suggestions appreciated. My mom is in town and it is her favorite dish. Thanks!
I like the clams in red sauce at Come Back Inn (extra spicy, upon request) . . . I have never tried the white sauce, but if it is like everything else there it should be excellent.
We went to Come Back Inn last time for their spaghetti and clams and we're looking to try a new place this time around. Used to like the version at Ferd Gristani.
Melissa, we make a Linguini with White Clam sauce, (not cream) it is Olive Oil based with lots of Garlic. and French Bread for the Dipping if that is something different for you.
I have an excellent recipe from the Rao cookbook which is like what you described, but wanted someone else to do the cooking tonight. We wound up going to Rocky's since we were downtown...their version was ok, skimpy on the clams, but the sauce was good.
Mellisa, we are at the old Willow Lake Tavern. 10609 LaGrange Rd right outside of Anchorage. Call us at 245-9004 if you need directions or reservations. I look forward to seeing you.
