Smiley/Emoticons

by Paul Mick » Thu Apr 02, 2009 1:43 pm

Hopefully this will be helpful to everyone while the smiley buttons are offline (but not with cool hats).

Most of them can be made with the cunning use of colons. If you hover over the button, a word or series of words appear. If you place these (or a variation of these) in between two colons, the smiley will magically appear.

Here's a list I've managed to compile. I'll type out what was placed in the colons after the smiley appears.

:veryhappy: (does work with a colon D :D)
 smile
 sad

 (shock)

 cool

 mad

 evil

 twisted

 wink
:exclamation:

 idea
 arrow
 neutral

The twisted smile works so well for you, Marsha. I'm a wink person myself though! ;)

Whats up with the "Mr Green" emoticon? Whats the meaning?

And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

The seventh Reservoir Dog! ;)

Alternatively, you could check the candlestick in the parlor... (He's actually known as Reverend Green in the original British version)

Even more alternatively, you could look it up on Youtube. The Mr. Green Presents series is apparently quite prolific. I'm sure you could give him some useful gardening tips that may or may not apply to his particular line of work.

(Sorry Marsha, I'm such a narc.)

I tried letting them pick their own names once. Everyone wanted to be Mr. Black, and no one would back down because they didn't know each other's reputations.

Alas, no. We're mostly dealing with diuretics right now.

However, I am doing pain management research (in the pediatric ICU) over the summer.
